Blueberry Banana Smoothie

 

Ingredients for 1 Serving:

· 1 cup Almond Milk Plus Protein

· 1/4 cup quick oats

· 1 oz Blueberry (or Strawberry) Nonfat Greek Yogurt

· 1/2 overripe banana, chilled

· 1 cup fresh blueberries, chilled

· 5-6 ice cubes

Instructions:

1. In a pot, combine 1/2 cup Almond Milk with 1/4 cup quick oats. Cook on high power for 2 1/2 minutes.

2. Pour cooked oat mixture into a blender along with the remaining 1/2 cup of almond milk, Greek yogurt, banana and blueberries.

3. Blend mixture on low speed for 2 minutes, or high speed for 1 minute.

4. Add in the ice cubes and puree until well blended.

5. Serve immediately!

Tip:

If you want an even colder smoothie, stir the oatmeal after cooking and allow to cool at least 5 minutes before blending into smoothie.

Strawberry Colada Smoothie

 

Ingredients for 2 Servings:

· 8 oz fresh strawberries, chilled, hulled

· 1 ripe banana, peeled and frozen

· 1 1/2 cups frozen pineapple

· 1 (5.3 oz) container coconut Greek yogurt

· 1 1/4 – 1 1/2 cups unsweetened coconut mild beverage

 

Instructions:

1. Pulse strawberries in a food processor until well pureed.

2. To a blender add banana, pineapple, coconut Greek yogurt and 1 1/4 cups coconut milk.
Pulse until well blended, adding 1/4 cup coconut milk as needed.

3. Spoon pineapple mixture into glasses filled about 1/3 full. Then add a spoonful or two of strawberry mixture, swirl lightly with a butter knife then repeat twice more.

4. Serve immediately.

 

Tips:

Alternately, all ingredients can be blended together in a blender versus processing strawberries separately. Light canned coconut milk can also be substituted. Just blend 1:1 with water.

Peach Mango Smoothie

Ingredients for 3 Servings:

· 1 1/2 cup frozen, peeled mango chunks, partially thawed

· 1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries

· 1 cup fresh peach slices (2 medium peaches, pitted)

· 1 well ripened banana

· 2 cups chilled pineapple juice

 

Instructions:

1.  Add all ingredients to a blender.

2. Process until smooth.

3. Serve immediately.

 

Tip:

Instead of pineapple juice, you may also use apple or orange juice instead.

This is an easy and flavorful smoothie, filled with nutritious fruits – a great start to your morning!
